MP3 Album Maker version 3.20

Postby Doc_Bopper » Mon Nov 06, 2006 5:19 am

I hate to say it but all of the files I have downloaded marked makeitone

can not be decoded using MP3 Album Maker version 3.20

I can decode all the ABLW's. What good is a program that can not decode

its own files?

With every file I try to decode I get this message

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.

The reason you are getting the error is because it can't find any track names in your alleged MakeitOne album.

You will have to supply one of your downloaded albums to debug this, otherwise we cannot verify that it truely is a MakeitOne album.

Ok, After a little research I found a bug in the program

I have some makeitone compiled files which I am unable to extract.
The files are on my g: drive and my makeitone is on c: drive. I get the error message above when I try to extract any of the makeitone compiled files.

I had to move the makeitone files to the c: drive in order for the makeitone program to have the ability to extract the files.

The makeitone program is unable to extract files from a file if it is not on the same drive....

I am using Windows Xp Pro with SP2 with the drives format in NTFS

that brings us a little closer, from your tests this definately looks like a bug but there must be something else that makes it do this, MakeitOne works from any drive, whether it be local or a fileshare somewhere.

There must be something else about the folder on your G: drive that we have not come across before - is the path unusually long? perhaps some foreign characters in the path. Anything unusual about the track names?

Can you provide the Source and Destination paths, plus the list of track names?

Thanks

I also was unable to unpack a Makeitone file with makeitone. I got the
same errors reported above

The file i was trying to unpacked was named:

"Tommy James & the Shondels - Anthology[Makeitone].Mp3"

I changed the file to "test.mp3" and suddenly makeitone unpacked it just fine.

Hope this helps.

excellent, thank you so much for posting the filename. You will be more suprised when I tell you why.

Its because you have an uppercase M in Mp3.

Stupid as this bug is, at least it can now be fixed. A new version will be released as soon as possible.

thanks
