Help with Error Message

Postby SallyW » Sun Jan 31, 2010 6:12 pm

I am receiving an error message that I don't have a clue what it means or what to do about it:

Unable to create path:
D:\(audio) 01_Preface - D:_MakeitOne.MP3
Please enter a legal path that is not read-only and try again

I am trying to get an audio book broken down into MP3s all on one "album" to load on my Zen. I see all of the MP3s listed and I see the cover. I've left everything in the "Auto" tab.
Destination folder: D:
Artist: 01_Preface
Album Prefix: (audio)
Album Suffix: _MakeitOne
Final Output: D:\(audio) 01_Preface - D:_MakeitOne.MP3

I hit the Go button and receive the above error message.
Can you walk me thru this in plain English.
TIA
SallyW

Hi SallyW, the illegal character is ":", this is not allowed in filenames in Windows.

Not sure how you managed to get:
Final Output: D:\(audio) 01_Preface - D:_MakeitOne.MP3
it should be:
Final Output: D:\(audio) 01_Preface - _MakeitOne.MP3
